Bella Palermo - Shipping Information

Policy

Bella Palermo knows the importance of timely delivery when it comes to gift giving. We've provided a UPS map (click here for map) so you can estimate your gifts arrival time (weekends and Holidays are NOT considered days in transit). Please allow yourself some extra time during the busy Holiday Season. All orders are shipped from our shop in Northeast Jersey. We are not able to ship outside the United States or Canada nor are we able to ship to Post Office Boxes. We can ship to APO/FPO addresses, but you must call us for that type of service.

Shipping Times

Under normal conditions, your order will be shipped the same business day if ordered by 2:00 PM EST. For orders received after Thursday 2:00 PM EST through Friday 2:00 PM EST, unless specified on the 'delivery instructions' box of the order form, we reserve the option to ship your gift selection on the following Monday, as their is no transit of packages over the weekend.

Perishables

Our gift selections may contain creams and cheeses. These products do ship very well via UPS Ground Service during most of the year. However, during the warm summer months only, we suggest you limit your selections to items that do not contain creams, cheeses and/or chocolate products. We will substitute items when and if applicable, at our discretion or your suggestion, to ensure your gift arrives in superb condition. You can trust us to always use products of equal or higher value in our substitutions with the utmost concern for quality. We use insulated cooler bags along with refrigerant gel packs when shipping our V-Table and pastry products such as cannoli, etc. For these products we recommend Next or Second Day Air service.

Rates

All of our shipping rates are for UPS Ground Service throughout the contiguous 48 states. You must call us for orders shipped to Alaska, Hawaii and Canada. UPS also offers express delivery via Next Day, Second Day and Three-Day Air shipping. These options are very expensive! When requesting the express options, we will almost always try to notify you via email or by telephone to give you the exact cost of the air shipping before we process your order. Please keep in mind that gift selections, depending on number of units (number of cookie trays, etc.) may become very large and bulky. UPS as well as all the other carriers, charge for the 'dimensional weight' of the box. For instance, a gift selection that actually weighs 33 lbs. shipped in a 20 cubic inch box, because of the size of the box, it's billable weight becomes 42 lbs. When shipping large boxes via Air delivery, it becomes extremely costly. Please order early enough to allow your gifts to arrive in a timely fashion via the UPS Ground Service, it's always the best value. Shipping charges for UPS Ground service is a minimum of $7.95 or 12% of the total cost of your order, whichever is greater. These prices may vary and are for packages shipped to a single address within the contiguous 48 states. UPS also express services. These rates as of June/2001 are as follows: Next Day Air is an additional $38.00 (guaranteed delivery in one day), Second Day Air is an additional $28.00 (guaranteed delivery in two business days), Three Day Select is an additional $18.00 (not guaranteed, but a reliable alternative for timely West Coast shipping).

Saturday Delivery

This service is available from UPS for an additional fee. It can only be used when sending a package via Air shipping. Please call or fax us for this type of service.

Specify Future Shipment Date

You can specify a future shipping date for a gift selection. Just specify your desired shipping date on our order form in the 'delivery instructions' box. We will not bill your credit card until 2 business days prior to shipping.

Restrictions

UPS cannot deliver to post office boxes or APO/FPO addresses. We can ship non-perishable items only to APO addresses via Priority Mail in the US Postal System. For international shipping you must contact Bella Palermo to make the necessary shipping arrangements before your order can be processed. We can ship to Alaska, Hawaii and Canada via UPS and you must call us as well for this type of service and pricing.

Bella Palermo does not assume responsibility for incorrect addresses (when placing your order please check to be sure that you’ve provided the correct delivery address information) and damages to products on shipments left unattended. Please make sure someone is available to receive the products you’ve ordered on the day it arrives.
